Jimmy is a 12 year-old boy who daydreams about being the world's greatest animal trainer. Unfortunately, after the loss of his father, his daydreams take over, and his school and personal life begin to suffer. That is until his mom sends him to live with his grandfather for the summer. Just when he thinks things have gone from bad to worse, he discovers an animal sanctuary next door, and a baby white lion. But when he learns that the sanctuary is about to be bought by an evil corporation that plans to use the animals for testing, he formulates a plan with his new found friends to stop the sale, and expose the company for what they're really doing.

Takeshi's Castle was a Japanese game show that aired between 1986 and 1990 on the Tokyo Broadcasting System. It featured the Japanese actor Takeshi Kitano as a count who owns a castle and sets up difficult challenges for players to get to him. Contestants throw themselves into daunting physical challenges as they attempt to storm Takeshi's Castle and win the grand prize of one million yen. The show has become a cult television hit around the world. A special live "revival" was broadcast on April 2, 2005, for TBS's 50th anniversary celebrations.

The father, an ex-military man, sees the 'handwriting on the wall' as to where his country's economy is headed. In an effort to prepare for this, he moves his family of wife, two sons and two daughters out of the city to a secluded old mansion -- a fortress, a castle, as it were.
